Here is my incredible fiancé, Brandon, and our bundle of Bo. Brandon is opening up a sandwich in Long Beach, CA on April 14th, 2015. I could not be more proud of him and love expressing that to him day after day. If you happen to be in the Long Beach area, I HIGHLY recommend stopping by JJ's. It won't disappoint! :)
Life can get chaotic at times and it's essential to take a step back, be present and positively praise the hard work of those special someones in our lives.
Think about the last time someone genuinely complimented you or acknowledged your hard work. It could have been your manager recognizing your devotedness to a recent work project or maybe your best friend noticed your tedious efforts for trying add some length to those locks of yours- come on, we've all been there...more Biotin please! Regardless, on how big or small the compliment was, you were credited for your efforts and it felt pretty amazing, right? So why don't we take this practice and put it into play in our everyday lives, especially for our partner who may not realize how proud and pleased we are with his latest ventures.
Praise him. Acknowledge when you know he has been working hard on something. It's those simple, thoughtful words that can help inspire our partner and encourage him to become his best self which ultimately helps us live our life to the fullest together.
"I'm so proud of your dedication to your studies lately! All your late nights are going to pay off."
"You're such an inspiration, babe! I'm so happy you've followed your entrepreneurial dreams and decided to open your own business!"
Be vocal. Leave notes in his car. It sounds cheesy written out, but whatever it may be that your partner is hard at work with, SHOUT IT, girl! Get creative and have fun with it.
Use enthusiasm and eye contact. It shows your authenticity and sincerity.
Portray confidence. When you are confident while admiring your partner, he will more likely believe your words and therefore become more self-assured about his work moving forward.
Now, let's not forget about those other extraordinary beings in our lives. In fact, not only does this tactic apply to our significant other, but this is something that can be applied to all of our relationships - co-workers, family members, even our furry friends :)
What are some ways you positively praise your partner?
