NAME OF POSE:

"#4 HIP OPENER"

WHY SHE LOVES THIS POSE

Hip openers are such great stress relievers!  We tend to hold on to a lot of tension in our hips, so doing this stretch in the morning or in the middle of the day can make you instantly feel a bit more relaxed and open.

LEVEL OF SKILL: Beginner/Intermediate

BENEFITS: Opens up tight hips, works balance on standing leg and can be a good lower back stretch.

HOW TO:

1. Start standing.  Bend your right knee, bringing all of the weight on to your left foot.

2. Hook your right ankle on top of your left knee, making the shape of the Number 4 with your legs.

3. Start to bend your standing left knee.  Hands can stay at your heart center in Anjali Mudra or you can rest your fingertips on your right shin or on the floor under you.

4. Find your sweet spot/where it feels good and stay there for 5-10 breathes & then switch sides!

ENJOY!
