Solo Meditation: I Am Present

To see the true essence of this extraordinary world we must remain present or at least try our very best! Today I'd like to guide you graceful souls through a meditation that helps us to come back to the now, the present moment.

Things You'll Need:
- Your presence
- Incense (optional - recently switched to bodha incense - OBSESSED!)

Time: Your practice comes to an end when your mantras are complete

Ambiance: You have the option to create a beautiful ambiance, light your incense and play some soothing music (I usually look on Spotify for a meditation playlist)

Practice: Sit in easy pose if that is comfortable for you or you can sit in a chair with your feet flat to the floor

>>> Ground yourself <<<

Breathe in through your nose - 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 -

Hold - 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 -

Breathe out through your nose - 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 -

((REPEAT))

Envision roots branching out of the bottom of your root chakra, if you're sitting, or soles of your feet, if you're standing or your feet are flat to the floor - growing into the depths of the earth.

Now, you are ready for the meditation!

Breathe in through your nose - I welcome the present moment

Breathe out through your nose - I release the past

Breathe in through your nose - I welcome the present moment

Breathe out through your nose - I release the future

Breathe in through your nose - I welcome the present moment

Continue to breathe naturally IN through your nose, OUT through your nose, as is your throat is the straw.

// Indulge in this present moment \\

Let all other thoughts go on by like waves...

How are you feeling? Anxious? Uncomfortable? At ease?

It's okay.

Acknowledge your feelings. Don't judge them. Let them go.

What are you feeling? Is the sun shining on your face? Is your foot falling asleep? Or are in a complete state of relaxation?

Notice it and let go...

Continue to breathe naturally IN through your nose, OUT through your nose, as is your throat is the straw.

One last time.

Breathe in through your nose - I welcome the present moment

Breathe out through your nose - I welcome the present moment

Say out loud to the Universe - I am present

Wonderful! You've completed the present meditation! Here and now, remember, embrace every current moment, see the beauty in it all and accept what is.

"We are very good at preparing to live, but not very good at living. We know how to sacrifice ten years for a diploma. And we are willing to work very hard to get a job, a car, a house, and so on. But we have difficulty remembering that we are alive in the present moment. The only moment there is for us to be alive." - Thich Nhat Hanh
